KLEARCHOS PANOUSIS

Klearchos Panousis, a distinguished figure in the world of basketball and sports education, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role of Technical Director for our vision regarding the development of future basketball athletes.

Klearchos graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science at the University of Athens, specializing in basketball. His commitment to advancing his knowledge led him to pursue postgraduate studies at the Democritus University of Thrace, focusing on Maximizing Sport Performance.

​

With a coaching career spanning back to 1993, Klearchos started as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team of Agia Paraskevi, competing in the Tier-A1 Greek National League and the FIBA Ronchetti European Cup. Over the years, he transitioned to coaching various men's teams at both local and national levels.

In 2009, Klearchos assumed the coaching responsibilities for the U16 team of Ilysiakos, followed by coaching the U14 team of the Basket Academy of Athens (B.A.C) in 2010. Notably, under his guidance, the U14 team secured their first E.S.K.A. championship.

Currently, Klearchos Panousis dedicates his coaching efforts exclusively to the U16, U14, and U12 teams of Pallini BC, showcasing his commitment to player development and team excellence.

Since 1997, Klearchos has served as a professor of physical education at the renowned Ellinogermaniki Agogi School. His dedication and leadership in the field led to his promotion to the Director of the Athletic Department in 2005. Between 2009 and 2015, he further contributed to the school as the Deputy Headmaster of the Elementary School.

Klearchos has actively participated in numerous research projects, contributing to the publication of a training methodology manual. Notably, he played a key role in the Leonardo da Vinci Research Project titled "Training for Life". Additionally, his involvement in the research, development, and manufacture of the "Altius" measuring garment demonstrates his commitment to advancing sports technology. The "Altius" garment provides real-time information and data on athletes' vital functions during exercise.

Klearchos Panousis' comprehensive background in coaching, education, and research makes him an invaluable Technical Director for our basketball camps, ensuring a holistic and enriching experience for young athletes.
